Claude Mutschler, 1953 born in Bordeaux, today lives and works near Stuttgart. After his study at the prestigious University of Design in Schwäbisch-Gmünd he worked for the international Designbüro Jürgen-Lange for many years, before he joined as a partner. Self-employed since 1996, the French designer gets enthusiastic about functional elegance concerning home furniture as well as technical design.

Hans Winkler, 1963 born in Würzburg, after his apprenticeship as carpenter studied at the College of Wood Technology and Design in Stuttgart. First he worked as a technician for an international furniture company for many years. Thereafter followed the structure of the German-wide sales for a Scandinavian chair manufacturer. Since 1999 he works in his own design office. In 2001 the collaboration with Claude Mutschler commenced, in 2003 the foundation of the joint design office took place, shortly after followed by the removal to the new office building in Grafenau near Stuttgart.

The French-Franconian kind of design is spiced with a good pinch of North German living culture: Ekkehard Zinser, 1946 born in Diepholz, He has been cooperating with MUTSCHLER WINKLER for several years. After his study of interior architecture in Detmold, followed by a furniture design study at the HFBK Braunschweig he worked for Diemens, Rosenthal, Daimler Benz and for more than 30 as product manager for WK Wohnen.

Two passions influence the German-French team especially: The passion for shapes and living culture, which is reflected by many awards for design (red dot / IF Award / Designpreis Bundesrepublik Deutschland / Focus Dialog / Innovation Award...).

Since many years MUTSCHLER WINKLER develop home, kitchen, office and seating furniture and interior systems for international furniture companies. From the fascination of function and ergonomics the second passion emerged: machine design. MUTSCHLER WINKLER live the claim to give technically complex machines a fascinating appaerance under consideration of all ergonomical and product technical requirements.
